Accessibility

Translation. In the event of any discrepancy, the French version prevails.

Merka must work for everyone: with a screen reader, with the keyboard alone, with failing eyesight or a shaky hand. This page says what is in place, what is still missing, and how to tell us what gets in the way.

What is in place

  • Contrasts are measured, not guessed: text on the cream background reaches 16:1, garnet titles and links 7.4:1, the text of orange buttons 5.3:1. The required threshold is 4.5:1.
  • Browser zoom is not blocked, and the layout follows.
  • The element with keyboard focus has a visible outline: links, buttons, fields and expandable sections.
  • Every page declares its language, French, German, Italian or English, so that screen readers pronounce it correctly.
  • No captcha, no password to invent: you sign in with a code sent by e-mail.
  • The site respects your device’s “reduce motion” setting.

What is still missing

  • No external audit has been done. We claim no conformance level until a third party has checked it.
  • Some touch targets are still smaller than 44 px, mostly in the header and footer. They are listed and being fixed.

Tell us about an obstacle

Write to contact@merka.ch, naming the page and what gets in the way. If you have an account, support already sees your orders and is faster. An obstacle that prevents buying or selling comes before everything else.
