The money
Who holds my money during the sale?
Our payment provider, never us. The money is set aside as soon as you pay and is only released to the seller after the parcel arrives, once your 48-hour claim period has passed. We hold no client funds account.
When is the seller paid?
48 hours after the recorded delivery of the parcel, if you have reported nothing. The carrier's tracking tells us when it arrived: neither you nor the seller has to declare it, though you can confirm receipt yourself to speed things up.
What happens if the parcel never arrives?
You are refunded in full. The money never left escrow: there is nothing to recover from anyone, and no one to convince.
And if the item does not match the listing?
You report it within the 48 hours. The payment is frozen immediately and we arbitrate. Depending on the case: a full refund against return of the item, an amicable settlement with a partial refund if you keep it, or payment to the seller if the claim is unfounded.
Does selling cost anything?
No. No commission on the sale price, no subscription, no margin on postage. The seller receives exactly their price. It is the buyer who pays a protection fee of 6.9% plus 2.95 francs (minimum 4.50), and that fee funds the escrow and the handling of disputes. The fixed part covers what a sale costs whatever its amount: card processing, transfer to the seller, account fees. Those costs do not fall because the item is cheap.
